About the Department

Post-Graduate Department of English

The department of English began functioning in 1995 at the inception of the college offering B.A. degree course.

 

  At present the department has 11 faculty members including five permanent and 6 guest lecturers. Since 2005 the department has been offering M.A. in English Language and Literature. The department has had three rank holders so far.

Vision

• The Mission of the department of English is varied and many. Apart from the usual ones, like developing language skills, imparting literary knowledge, the department also envisages transformation in perspective. The teaches believe that each student is capable of some unique feat that he/she can be made to perform to the best of his/her ability.
• * To hone the unique skills of each student and prepare him/her to experience genuine success.
• *To help students succeed professionally in the modern technology driven world while preserving their emotional      intelligence.
